In May 2011, the brand gentryportofino is bought by Giambattista Tirelli, Group CEO of OLMAR AND MIRTA, licensing company in the production and distribution of brands famous and renowned worldwide such as Maurizio Pecoraro, Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh.
The strategic plan is clear and ambitious: immediate accelerated development, aimed at significantly increasing growth both on the Italian market and internationally.

These results were achieved mainly thanks to the opening of single-brand boutiques in the most important cities and holiday resorts in Italy and abroad, thanks to the restyling of existing brand stores in Portofino and Cortina, and finally thanks to a distribution also present in multi-brand stores / e-commerce as the most authoritative Italian Antonioli in Milan, the L’Inde le Palais in Bologna, Luisa Via Roma in Florence, 10 Corso Como in Milan and Collection, and a product range expanded and updated in terms of quality, modernity and style, thanks to a creative team of young designers.

The first gentryportofino collection by Olmar and Mirta was Fall / Winter 2012-13. Accepting the heritage of cashmere as elegance and creativity, but making it evolve so far as a project of high constant stylistic research. The knitting was bought out by highest quality specialist suppliers, then becoming matter in motion that extends, expands and turns along with the brand, which is now one of the most elegant and essential expression of “Made in Italy” craftsmanship in the world.
